3 months agoThe food was delicious. Be aware its a busy place. Make a reservation if you can. We waited an hour to get seated. Then almost an hour for food. BUT .... Well worth it. Look forward to going back soon with friends

3 months agoCame here for the first time with a buddy. The food was so good. Bread was fresh baked. Probably the best club sandwich in town.

7 months agoIn three words: Charming Edible Friendly I’m new to Butler, moved here in April from Houston, Texas, and have been hoping to find a local joint that feels cozy and has great food. Judging from the reviews I figured this place was a no-brainer. The establishment is quaint and small, with handwritten menu boards and specials all over. The post-church crowd was there and the tables were talking and laughing amongst themselves, and it immediately put me at ease. A very friendly gal took my order and worked the room with the other customers, making everyone feel at home. After a few minutes, I was handed a brown bag and sent on my way. Ultimately, not very impressed. This place is clearly proud of their homemade burger buns, but I’m pretty confident their patties are frozen. Their pickles are a little on the sweet side. Not seasoned too well. For $32 for two burgers and fries with no drinks, the food just doesn’t justify another visit. I’ll keep in mind that this review is based solely off their burger, so I may come back for ice cream or a special. But at this price I’d go to Burger Hut before Barnhart’s. Extra star for the service and charm, but the food is a 2/5 for me.

Edited 4 months agoAte here again today. Cant go wrong with Barnharts! I had the steak hoagie and it was great! I love eating here! Old review below I always heard good things so when I was in the area I stopped by. It's an ice cream shop. A very old ice cream shop when you walk in so I wasn't expecting much. You Order at the counter and pay then they bring it to your table. The menu is limited. The staff super friendly. The food was great! We both got the mess and 4 drinks cause neither of us could decide. The bill was $26 . Neither of us could finish our food and we both took it home. The bread was really good, soft, and fresh . I will definitely be going back for more.

a year agoFantastic service, super friendly and the food and ice cream was amazing. It is about a 10 minute drive outside of the local Butler but totally worth the visit. If you haven't given it a try you should at least once! Not to mention they treated my daughter like a complete princess. We will definitely be back.

a year agoMy family loves Barnhart's. We've eaten here a couple of times for lunch/dinner. However, we have been her countless times for ice cream treats. They have soft and hard (Perry's ) ice cream available. Many flavors and ways to get your ice cream to choose from. The service is absolutely wonderful. I really don't think you could find better service anywhere else. Menus are clearly visible and very tantalizing. We really want to go for breakfast sometime and are looking forward to when that happens.
